New arrivals

Its been busy on admissions this week. As rehoming has been busy for the last couple of weeks and the number of calls from other rescues has eased for while we've been able to really make some progress on our waiting list and have managed to call in over 10 dogs from their own homes. It isn't often we have spells like this where we can call in some many from their own homes so we're making the most of it while we can.

Autumn is most certainly here now. The last 4 mornings have been foggy and cold enough to see frost on the kennel roofs and cars but once the sun has broken through it's been very pleasant. It wasn't so pleasant when I went to order some oil for the kennels heating, last time I ordered some which was beginning of the year it was about 33p a litre - this time 45p a litre!! Perhaps they think it should catch petrol prices up - I certainly hope not.

The Reception area of Boarding is almost painted and it should be finished tomorrow, we're really looking forward to the following week when they start laying the new floor. Having seen the difference it's made to the Rescue kennels we know it's going to be a great improvment.

Bye for now

Ben
