I'm glad to report that the dog who was rushed to the vets is now back with us and making a good recovery, unfortunately another one developed some signs but hasn't needed to go to the vets and we are hopeful that the others are not affected. We are still taking precautions as you can't be too careful can you?
Response to the Volunteer Events & Fundraising post has been very good and 4 people have shown interest, we shall be inviting them along soon for an informal chat. If you are interested please don't be shy - step forward.
Work on the replacement septic tank is due to start this week which wil be another worry sorted - bet there'll be another along to take its place though!!
In another celebration of our 10 year anniversary Trustees are pleased to announce the launching of The Collie Care Fund. Aimed to provide financial assistance towards the cost involved where a collie needs urgent veterinary care, usually when found straying and injured the Fund will hopeful assist other rescues and even individual owners in difficult situations. The funds are of course limited and will be provided when funds permit. Funding is being provided from the commission we receieve from PetPlan. This commission comes from insurance policies taken out by owners of dogs homed from us.
More information on this Fund can be found in the How To Help page of our website and we would welcome specific donations to be used in this Fund.
Bye for now
Ben
