No room at the Inn

I think I may have used this title before - but - it's true again I'm afraid. It really has been one way traffic on then phone and in the kennels this week. Virtually every phone call was a dog or dogs needing a place. We currently have 3 rescues desperate for help for at least 15 dogs and we've closed our waiting list for individual owners as we know we won't be able to help many of them until into the New Year.

It always is quiet from the rehoming point of view at this time of year, for obvious reasons and that just seems to mkae the situation worse. There probably isn't that many calls for help coming in than any other time of the year - it just seems like it because few dogs are going out!

We did at least find homes for 2 today which eases the pressure a little bit as we had every available kennel in use today and 2 dogs arranged to come in in the next day or so.

We will be trying to help as many urgent cases as we can before Christmas and it certainly looks like we'll be busy Christmas afternoon handing gifts to all the dogs who are with us.

I must just say a big thank you for the response to our old mobile phone appeal - it's certainly picking up speed and we'd be delighted to receive loads more - especially after Christmas Day when all the new mobile phones have been opened. Just contact us for a pre-paid label, full information is on the website.

Bye for now

Ben
