Christmas Party will soon be here

Yes, only a couple of weeks to our Christmas Party. 25th Nov between 11am and 3pm at Colwich and Little Haywood Village Hall. All the usual fun, refreshments and a Fun Dog Show again this year.

After a quiet couple of weeks with calls from other rescues it's gone back to normal the last week. 9 dogs came in just over a week ago, 9 this week and another 9 on Monday. Fortunately prospective new owners keep coming forward as without them we couldn't help as many as we do.

The new floor has now been laid in the Boarding kennels and we've nearly finished the painting. The reception and kitchen areas have been bought up to date and all in all it should look much brighter and be easier to keep clean. Following the success of having music playing in the rescue kennels we'll also be installing some audio equipment in the boarding kennels to help keep the dogs relaxed. Because the wall coating in rescue wasn't as successful as we all hoped for we decided against having it done in boarding - however we are looking in to having the kennels partly tiled which again will provide a much cleaner and smarter environment. We hope all our regular and not so regular customers will approve of the changes.

Just a reminder that if you have any old mobile phones please either bring them to the centre (or the Christmas Party) or ask us for a prepaid slip if you are not close by. Every phone we collect is worth £3 to us and all the phones are being recycled in some way.

Bye for now

Benl
