Dogs, dogs and more dogs

It's been a busy week on the admission front this week - 18 new arrivals. We hope we have a busy few days now to make some space. Our waiting list is building and we've had to close it again for a while to give ourselves the opportunity to catch up. This is something we have to do unfortunately, we know urgent calls will still come through but there is only so much space.

I managed a couple of days away last weekend on my motorbike in Wales - or should I say wet Wales! Despite the rain we still managed to tour some lovely countryside but what did strike me was the number of roadside adverts for collie pups (and other breeds as well). Even saw some pups advertised on the outside of a Public House - not somewhere I'd think of looking for a dog !!

Despite the pressure organisations and the media have placed over the years nothing much has changed and every week we receive the same type of calls - dog from farm, never had collie before, can't cope, not getting on with children etc etc etc. Don't suppose it will ever change?

Bye for now

Ben
