Anyone got a spare chimney?

So there I was replacing a light at the end of the rescue block, and happened to glance across at the boarding kennel block. Funny I thought, why is the chimney lying down!!

Seems the strong winds we've had today had finally weakened the chimney enough for it come adrift from the rest of the heating pipework. It's only a metal type but not of high quality steel that's for sure. So it was quick call to our friendly heating engineers who must dread hearing my voice after the performance over Christmas with the heater itself (glad to say that's working fine now - fingers crossed).

Elsewhere in the centre the paddock and lawn are still suffering after the recent rain, dogs are being walked off site for now as it was becoming very slippery as well as muddy.

8 dogs coming in tomorrow and with only 5 empty kennels (it's been a very quiet week so far) looks like 2 or 3 dogs will be sharing for a few days.

For those of you who visit the Online Shop do take a look at some new prints that are now available, the artist Susan Alison is kindly donating some of the proceeds to the Trust and I have to admit I've got my eye on a couple already - just need a spare bit of wall to hang them

Bye for now

Ben
